 Owned by the Duke of Roxburghe and located on the banks of the delightful River Teviot.  Complete in March 2012 and overseen by the Duchess of Roxburghe, the hotel completed a full refurbishment of the ground floor areas including the Bar, Restaurant, Drawing Room, Reception and Lobby areas.

All of the 22 bedrooms have been individually designed, many by the Duchess of Roxburghe herself, all with a unique and charming character. 

The Scottish Borders is a natural larder stocked with world-class meat and fish, all in one beautiful bountiful place.  Renowned for the quality of its fish, meat, game and local produce - all of which is cooked to perfection by our brigade of Chefs. To complement the cuisine there is an extensive list of wines from around the world including a selection of fine and rare wines from the Duke’s own cellar. 

The Championship Golf Course at the Roxburghe Golf Club lies just a few steps away from the hotel and is the 5th top inland course in Scotland, designed by Dave Thomas.   The Roxburghe Estate is not just the perfect place for golfers, there is also fishing, shooting on the Estate.  There is also a Beauty Salon offering guests a range of treatments.

For visitors with an interest in history, we can also organise visits to the Duke of Roxburghe’s splendid family home – Floors Castle.
We also have a local shooting expert available should you wish to Stalk deer or fish or shoot game whilst you stay.
