The Hotel La Tabaccaia was once a factory that dried the tobacco for Tuscan cigars, and is now completely renovated and has opened its doors to the first flush of visitors searching for a unique hotel in the Tuscan countryside.
Located at the Pontedera entrance to the estate, the hotel has 31 traditional Tuscan rooms and suites, combining restored beams and tiled ceilings with modern, understated décor. The materials and palettes used in the public spaces reflect the shapes and colours of the surrounding Tuscan landscape.

Guests at Hotel La Tabaccaia will be invited to share the simple pleasures of the Tuscan lifestyle. An indulgent breakfast buffet, a customary Italian espresso in the hotel lounge or a glass of Castelfalfi’s own house wine in the bar; each adds to the overall experience.

All rooms are equipped with free Wi-Fi, 32” LCD TV with satellite channels, air conditioning, marble en suite bathroom and rainforest shower.

The courses, well played since their respective openings in 2010 and 2011, have been remodelled from the 20-year-old designs of golf architect, Mancinelli. The remodelling works in elegant sympathy with the landscape, and elevates the courses to the latest standard.

The current clubhouse now sits in the centre of the two courses, with unobstructed views of the castello and central borgo. On completion the redeveloped clubhouse will combine traditional and contemporary architecture, with a glass roof connecting two restored farmhouses.
